Launch a Refiner's Fire group study

As Christians, we are hardwired for connection. When we have a community to learn and grow with, our lives are greatly enriched. While we can gain much through our personal time with God, a small group offers an opportunity to deepen and expand our study experience.

If you find value in a group study, you’ve come to the right place. I know the thought of launching a group may sound like a big task, but before you dismiss the idea, I encourage you to read the information below to get a clearer sense of what it involves. It’s much easier than you might think.

To make the process as stress-free as possible, I will provide tools and resources to help you get started. I want to ensure your group gets the most out of its study time as you journey through The Refiner’s Fire together. I believe those who choose to study collectively will experience greater growth and abundance in Christ.

I hope you’ll take the time to consider launching a group study. Remember, if God is leading you, He will guide you and equip you to accomplish the purpose He has set before you. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain!

Absolutely not. You will serve as a facilitator, bringing people together to learn, grow, and be encouraged.

Yes! You decide who to invite. You can include family, friends, church members, and people from your community. While there’s no strict limit on the number of participants, I recommend keeping your group small for the best experience—typically 2–15 people—to foster connection and intimacy.

Ultimately, the group size is up to you. If your group grows larger than expected, consider these options:
  • Split the group in half and ask someone to lead the second group.
  • Keep the group together but create smaller text groups for daily discussions to foster deeper connection.

The study is a 12-week commitment, including five daily devotionals per week, one rest day, and one day for either an in-person gathering or personal time of reflection. This structure provides the optimal experience, but it can be adjusted to fit your group’s needs.

Plan to spend 30–60 minutes per day. This includes reading the devotional, answering questions, reading Scripture, journaling, and engaging in group discussion.

Note: Daily discussions will take place via group text or a messaging app—you are not required to meet in person every day. In-person gatherings are optional and can be held every other week or at your discretion —whatever works best for your group. You choose the day, time, and location.
